Multimedia artist Vincent Goudard, from France, will present « esketch », an interactive installation. Sort of a museum in perpetual recreation, this nomadic installation is meant to be setup in various places. The aim of this expressive tool, based on drawing gesture, is to combine in the same framework, works realized by people of different cultures and contexts. This presentation will be the occasion to give an overview of the possible use of this software for media art.

Vincent will also present the graphic programming software which he uses for creating his interactive environments MAX/msp and PureData, an open source alternative software.

During this presentation, Vincent will also propose the "MediaMusicrooM / Concert with n.o. musician", a 1 week workshop on interactive technologies, where a team of 10 people will work on transforming a room into a musical instrument. The workshop will be held in Studio DAUHAUS from the 3rd-8th of July.

Bio:
Goudard studied electrical engineering and signal processing, and did a master of science applied to music at IRCAM in Paris. He worked freelance designing interactive sound and image installations for a street art company and was musical assistant for composer Gyorgy Kurtag Jr., doing research on collective intelligence and free improvisation in electroacoustic music.
Since august 2006, he joint the Studios Puce Muse to work on advanced digital music instrument, and collective music practice, in collaboration with other musicians, composers, and research labs.

This presentation will happen in the framework of the Little Season Festival at Sfumato Theatre- Laboratory

Small Season Festival is one of the main events of Sfumato Theatre-Laboratory after the active theatre season in Sofia. The festival started 7 years ago is recognized as one of the most interesting form of communication with the audience. Small Season 2006 will take place in all possible halls, foyers, corridors and labyrinths of Sfumato building where will be presented theatre plays, films, performances, visual and multimedia installations and music concerts.
