Първата за 2007 среща Upgrade! Sofia се проведе в залата на Гьоте Институт на 26.02. Събитието започна с презентация на артиста Вероника Цекова. Тя представи работи, използващи различни субективни подходи в изследването на де/формирането на идентичности под влиянието на силови структури и тенденции, глобализация, миграция, медии, търговия и т.н. Презентацията бе използвана като инструмент за конфронтация на въпроса за идентичността от гледна точка на репрезентацията. Работи, занимаващи се с корпоративни и маркови, градски, арт, и  виртуални идентичности, бяха използвани като аргументи в дискусия за това как изкуството може да подправя и повлиява идентичности и как идентичността на изкуството може да бъде подправяна и повлиявана?

The first Upgrade! Sofia meeting for 2007 was held at the main hall of Goethe Institute Sofia on the 26th of February. The event began with a presentation of the artist Veronika Tzekova. She presented works with different subjective approaches to examine the de/formation of various identities under the influence of power structures and trends, globalization, migration, media, commerce, etc.
The presentation confronted the issue of identity from the point of view of representation. Works dealing with corporate and brand, national and transnational, urban, art, and virtual identities were used as arguments to discuss how can art forge and influence identities and how can art identity be forged and influenced?

Гост артиста от Берлин Волфганг Кемптнер представи свои проекти, свързани с независими онлайн радио станции. След презентацията гостите имаха възможност да чуят независимия радио проект Wet Interviews 2 (Мокри Интервюта 2), записан в ресторант Vegi Home (Бул. "Патриарх Евтимий" 10)  на 16.02.

Тhe guest artist from Berlin Wolfgang Kemptner presented some of his projects related with pirate and independent online radio stations. After the presentation the audience had the opportunity to hear the independent radio project Wet Interviews 2 recorded at the vegetarian restaurant Vegi Home on the 16th of February.

Wet Interiews 2 е „пиратско“ радио предаване, съдържащо записи от градската и радио среда в София, както и акустична документация на интервюта-пърформанси, проведени в публичната или интимна среда, представляваща тоалетната на ресторанта. Темата на интервютата ще бъде българската идентичност в Европа, или това, за което българите не обичат да говорят. Участници в проекта ще бъдат няколко български и чуждестранни артиста, занимаващи се с други видове изкуства. Официалният език ще бъде български с коментари на английски.

Wet Interviews 2 is a „pirate“ radio emission containing pre-recorded material from the urban and radio space in Sofia, as well as audio-acoustic documentation of interviews-performances, recorded live at the semi-private, semi-public space which is the toilet of the restaurant. The topic of the interviews will be the Bulgarian identity in Europe, or the things that Bulgarians don't like to talk about. Particapants in the project will be a few Bulgarian aswell as international artists, working mostly in other fields of art. The official language will be bulgarian with comments and translation in english.
