Masanori Sugiura:
Project: Documenting Ephemeral from Sofia, Bulgaria
Period of the residency: 1st Feburary, 2006 - 3rd April, 2006
The New York based artist is the current artist in residence
in Sofia, Bulgaria organized by
Interspace and DBX collaborative
in New York.
Masanori is an emerging artist originally from
Aichi, Japan whose photographs have been exhibited in
New York and Tokyo.
In conjunction with the residency in Bulgaria, Masanori
will travel throughout the Balkans and Eastern Europe. He has
launched a website where he documents his experience and interaction
with local artists, people, and culture in these regions.
In addition, podcasting programs from interviews with local artists
and journals that embody our creative force will be documented
on the website.
For this presentation Masanori will update us on his
experiences so far and talk about his domumenting technologies.
