PONY TV

PONY.TV is a small group of creative project mechanics with experience producing interactive technology art installations, film and video events, providing audio-visuals for events, graphic design and video production.

PONY.TV is based in Montreal and works with a number of artists locally and internationally. The main contacts are Renee Sills and Kyd Campbell(HalfTwo).

Our most major goal is the creation of sustainable creative networks. We are open to all kinds of projects.

STATEMENT OF INTENT

The purpose and intent of PONY TV is to host a space and forum for exhibition, discussion and critique of video and film works as well as to provide a network for emerging and established artists working in these media.
Our public screening events will be organized on a monthly basis during the summer of 2006. In the autumn of 2006 our public screenings will become bi-monthly. Starting in September of 2006 we will organize bi-monthly workshop meetings for local artists who wish to present and discuss their pieces within a diverse group. These meetings will take place in the months when there are no public screenings. These meetings will require artists to pre-register and will provide a regular forum for the artists involved to network between themselves.

The public screenings will continue on a bi-monthly basis with an open call for submissions to artists regardless of their participation in the workshop meetings.

As a collective we are open to anyone who is interested in submitting their work, participating in the viewing and discussion of work, as well as facilitating and organizing events with PONY TV.

PONY TV is a not for profit collective and we seek to meet our main monetary concerns through sponsorship and donation of space and equipment. Each screening event will charge a small price for admission to the viewing (there is no fee for submission of work) which will go directly to the venue of the screening and, if need be, the rental of necessary equipment.
